RINS Workshops – 2021
RINS workshops are held each year prior to the beginning of the field season to provide training, updates, and pertinent information for new and returning volunteers to successfully master the skills involved in monitoring nesting raptors.
Attending one Spring Workshop is mandatory for both new volunteers and all returning volunteers. Attending the Field Training Workshop is required for all new volunteers, and highly recommended for first and second year volunteers. All returning volunteers are welcome to attend the Field Training Workshop anytime.
2021 Spring Workshops will be held ONLINE on the following dates for targeted locations:
Moab & Monticello Spring Workshop – February 2, 2021
Cedar City & St. George Spring Workshop – February 9, 2021
Salt Lake Spring Workshop I – February 27, 2021
Salt Lake Spring Workshop II – March 6, 2021
Statewide Field Training Workshop March 16, 2021
This workshop is required for new volunteers. You will receive your assignment and Quad Notebook and receive additional hands-on-training to accomplish the fieldwork RINS volunteers perform. This workshop is great for 2nd year volunteers as well to brush up on their fieldwork skills. All returning RINS volunteers are invited to attend ANYTIME to brush up on your fieldwork skills and raptor ID skills. Plus you are great resources for our new volunteers.
