Topics covered include GPS settings, UTM datum, entering UTMs, setting a track, setting a waypoint, navigating to a waypoint, maps for your GPS, and answer any questions you may have. Both workshops provide training for new volunteers and provides an opportunity for returning volunteers to refresh current GPS skills.
An in-person GPS Workshop which will be held in Liberty Park, Salt Lake City, Saturday, March 28 – 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Bring your GPS or borrow a GPS from RINS at the workshop. Senior RINS volunteers will assist you in the setup of your GPS. You will be provided with waypoints in the park to be located.
